Features and Benefits
CommScope’s PON Evo™ UC-GX16 is an ultra-high capacity, GPON/XGS-PON line card that is universally compatible with the PON Evo series Modular Optical Line Terminals (OLTs). The card features support for up to 16 Multi-PON-Module (MPM) ports, providing operators with the option to use the card for GPON, XGS-PON, or combo mode (GPON/ XGS-PON) operation. The UC-GX16 also supports advanced, dual-density SFP+ GPON/XGS-PON and B+, C+, and D optics to provide high-speed connectivity and maximize density.
Each UC-GX16 line card supports up to 2048 ONUs. The card is also compliant with ITU-T G.984 (GPON), ITU-T G.9807.1 (XGS-PON), and ITU-T G.988 (OMCI and ONU management) standards, providing operators with an excellent way to improve the performance of their current PON networks while laying the groundwork for future XGS-PON deployments.

- Supports dual-density SFP+ optics for up to 32 GPON or 32 XGS-PON ports per line card
- Supports up to 2048 ONUs per line card
- Up to 1:128 split ratio
- Support for B+, C+, and D optics
- Optical loss budget: 28 dB, 32 dB, and 35 dB
- 12.5G non-blocking per port/full line rate in combo mode (GPON/XGS-PON)
- Type B protection for the ODN domain
- Universally compatible with PON Evo Modular OLT series
